Description:

The Association for Energy Affordability, Inc. (AEA) is a nonprofit organization working to increase energy efficiency in residential and multifamily housing to foster and maintain affordable, healthy housing and communities.  AEA works with low- and moderate-income home owners, affordable and supportive housing managers, and owners of private buildings seeking to save energy and keep housing costs affordable.

 

For over 25 years, AEA has delivered energy technical services, training and energy efficiency program management for Weatherization, NYSERDA, and utility programs. Our services include energy audits, energy modeling, benchmarking energy and water usage, developing heating and cooling system specifications and work scopes, contractor oversight, quality control inspections, commissioning, and more.  We provide Integrated Physical Needs Assessments for existing housing.  AEA also performs direct installations of energy conservation measures for both Con Edison and National Grid in the apartments of eligible multifamily buildings.  AEA provides energy consulting to developers of high performance new construction projects pursuing Passive House, Energy Star, or LEED certifications.
